My story of recovering from decades of chronic symptoms showed me how physical and emotional healing opens more than just freedom from chronic pain–it helps us become our authentic selves. Mind-body neuroscience freed my body in 2017. Then my creative voice, which had been locked up in my chronic pain, took me on a wild journey. Writing regularly helped to expose the root of my struggles; I had unknowingly repressed my emotional trauma and my true self. The poetry and stories that surfaced were truth tellers as they voiced my pain and helped me discover who I am as an artist. ----NEEDS TEXT EDITS----
